Yoga with Keshav
All classes are taught by Keshav Rupakheti, the founder and owner of our Belfast yoga centre.
(Except pregnancy yoga, mother and baby yoga and Yogabuddies - see below)
All classes include:
Yoga postures (Asanas)
Breathing techniques (Pranayama)
Relaxation (Yoga Nidra)
The beginner’s class is suitable for everyone, regardless of experience or age.
All the other classes are more challenging and are thus more suitable for those with some fitness and experience. If you are unsure, feel free to chat to Keshav, he will find the right class for you.
‘If you think that Yoga is only for the spiritually inclined …, come to Keshav’s yoga classes and discover the truth. Yoga is for anyone who wishes to move more freely, improve the quality of their breathing and become more relaxed…. Keshav is a gifted teacher…. His approach is down to earth, pragmatic, often humorous, friendly and infused with a strong sense of Keshav’s unfailingly happy outlook on life. You will not be afraid to laugh when you are with Keshav as he guides you gently and safely with clear and simple instructions into postures that will challenge you but never push you beyond your present capabilities…. I did not start to practise yoga until the age of 55. It was very unlikely that I was ever going to travel to the Indian sub-continent to study yoga at its source. With Keshav, the ancient and authentic traditions of the motherland of yoga have come to me. I am privileged to have Keshav as my guru.’ Philip
'Having been practicing yoga for 10 years in 3 different cities, I can honestly say that Keshav is the best teacher I have had and the one class that I have improved most in. Namaste Yoga offers yoga classes for all levels and meditation classes that are easy to follow and thoroughly relaxing. Keshav's easy manner and sense of fun make every class an uplifting experience.' Jill

Pregnancy yoga with Eleanor Steane
£36 for 6 weeks
Suitable for mums-to-be from 14 weeks onwards.
Class includes birth preparation with a focus on breathing techniques and positions for labour and birth.
Yoga is an ideal exercise for pregnancy and postnatal recovery due to its remarkable potential for healing and transformation.
Eleanor carefully and gently adapts yoga postures, breathing, energy awareness and deep relaxation to assist with the transition to motherhood.
‘Eleanor is a great teacher, with a friendly approach and actually delivers a class with real yoga in it! I approached the birth in a relaxed and fit state armed with an amazing breathing technique which really helped with the birth of my second baby - I felt in control and really think it helped the final stages of labour to progress more quickly and smoothly. I also didn't need any stitches which I think is down to yoga practice which keeps the whole birthing canal flexible.‘ Amy
‘I joined the pregnancy yoga class when I was mid-way through my pregnancy and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. Eleanor is a great teacher and pitches the class to all levels of ability. She is very good at adapting the postures when you are having pregnancy related aches and pains! I really do think that the yoga helped me have a straightforward birth and helped make it all an even more special experience.’ Nicola
This class is provided at the Namaste Yoga Centre in Belfast.

Mother and Baby Yoga with Eleanor Steane
£40 for 6 weeks
Suitable for mums and babies from 6 weeks to crawling.
This class is designed to get the new mother back in shape whilst playfully bonding with her new baby. Classes include a gentle progression of yoga postures and rhythmical sequences for toning muscles, releasing tension and renewing strength and stamina, breathing to restore calm and focus and deep relaxation to re-energise.
The babies participate with the mothers throughout the class, enjoying age appropriate stimulation exercises as well as being part of the posture work, breathing and relaxation.
Enjoy a cup of tea together in the studio afterwards. This is a great opportunity to catch up with the other mothers in the class.
‘Eleanor’s baby yoga classes are brilliant- she creates a relaxed and nurturing environment which both me and my baby look forward to every week. There's no issue with feeding and changing at any time. She pushes you when you're ready which is great for getting back into shape...... although the biscuits and cake afterwards counteract that a bit!
Would recommend Eleanor to anyone with a bump or baby’ Amy
‘When my son was 6 weeks old I joined the post-natal yoga classes and I really look forward to the class every week. It is such a fantastic way to bond with my son and also meet other new mums and babies. Again, Eleanor takes care of us all and adapts the poses for those of us still recovering from pregnancy and birth. All the babies love her and I think recognise her voice from when they were in the womb!
